Description of characteristics

Styrene butadiene rubber is the most widely used synthetic rubber in the world. It is a copolymer of styrene and butylene. SBR is fragile and unfit for use in the absence of carbon black strengthening, but with carbon black, it becomes hard and wear resistant. The disadvantage of SBR is that it has poor lubricating oil resistance and weather resistance, so it is not suitable for use in ultraviolet, oxygen and ozone. The reason is that there are double bonds in the main chain of polymer copolymer. The most common use of SBR is with natural rubber and cis-1,4-butadiene rubber.

Service temperature

The standard operating temperature of SBR is between - 30 ℃ and 100 ℃.
