Description of characteristics

Nitrile rubber (NBR) is a copolymer of acrylonitrile (ACN) and butadiene. The properties of NBR mainly depend on the ACN composition (18% to 50%) in NBR. The higher the content of acrylonitrile, the better the properties of lubricating oil and fuel oil are, but the low temperature elasticity and compression set become worse. The lower the acrylonitrile content is, the better the low temperature resistance is, but the properties of lubricating oil and fuel oil resistance will be sacrificed. Therefore, the NBR with ACN content should be selected according to the specific working conditions. Compared with other elastomers, NBR has good mechanical properties and high friction resistance. The weather resistance and ozone resistance of NBR are not strong, but this problem can be solved by combining with other materials. For example, NBR / PVC blend material not only has excellent weather resistance and ozone resistance, but also has excellent flame retardant, calendering and coloring ability. Oil resistant magnetic rubber can be made by adding a certain amount of magnetic powder, but its permanent compression can be achieved The deformation is poor.

Service temperature

The standard operating temperature of NBR ranges from - 25 ℃ to 100 ℃ or up to 125 ℃ depending on acrylonitrile content and design formula. Generally speaking, when the temperature exceeds 100 ℃, its service life will be shortened. The temperature range of special formula can reach - 50 - 150 ℃.

application

Nitrile rubber (O-type rubber seal ring) is widely used in various oil resistant occasions. In the automobile electronic injection injector parts, various oil resistant gaskets, seals, rubber tubes. Hydraulic and pneumatic industry seal, cushion and other oil resistant, wear-resistant rubber parts. In the nuclear industry, NBR with high saturation can also be used as the seal of nuclear power plant because of its radiation resistance.
